Hello, 

My name is Kenneth John Sparks from Wembley, England.  I am a child evacuee who was on board SS City of Benares. When our ship was attacked by a submarine on 17 September, I managed to get on a lifeboat with other passengers. I spent more than a week drifting in the lifeboat before being rescued by Royal navy ship HMS Anthony.
